Keep the River Running

The Colorado River is running out. So is time.

The Colorado River feeds farmland, powers cities, drives manufacturing and supports more than 40 million people across the American West, generating $1.4 trillion in economic activity each year.

Yet today, one of America's most important rivers is under increasing pressure. Reservoirs remain at historic lows, drought continues to intensify and demand continues to outpace supply.

That's why this summer, Mina Guli will run 2,000 miles along its path, from its source high in the Rocky Mountains to the hot, arid desert where it runs dry.

Along the way, she'll meet the people, communities and leaders working to secure its future, helping accelerate the solutions, investments and partnerships needed to keep the river running.
